AVSL 2025/26: Round 2 Wrap

Round 2 of the 2025/26 AVSL (Athletics Victoria Shield League) season saw Preston Athletics Club deliver another solid team performance at the Tom Kelly Athletics Track, finishing mid-table for the second consecutive week with a total of 23,496 points.

The club finished just 810 points shy of sixth-placed Collingwood, continuing to show steady progress in a highly competitive field.

A number of standout individual performances helped boost Preston’s points tally, with five athletes earning places in the Top 100 Most Valuable Athletes for the round:

  • Anwita Prasanth – 1,182 points

  • Gurpreet Rai – 1,097 points

  • Jasman Mann – 1,063 points

  • Craig Stephens – 932 points

  • Trenton Hawkins – 866 points

The club expressed appreciation for volunteers who made the event possible. Special thanks go to Cheryl Duff for officiating and to Kim Paton and Neville Kane for their support with duties.
